This genuine Ammonite is a wonderful gift for any fossil lover.
Aged at 400 million years old, own a piece of history with this natural Ammonite. This specimen is found with natural plant imprints and even smaller ammonite shells. Ammonites are cephalopods that were closely related to the modern-day octopus and squid. What is left behind of them are their shells, for their actual bodies were ligaments, and the soft tissue is extraordinarily unlikely to fossilize.
This Ammonite was hand carved in Madagascar to be used as a bowl, dish, or ashtray.
Please allow for variations in size, color and weight as each specimen is one-of-a-kind, you will not receive the exact item shown.
